As I look back on my photography journey, one particular wedding day stands out as truly unforgettable. It was a moody overcast day in August in the mystical Faroe Islands, a place where nature reveals its raw and untamed beauty. Little did I know then, as I woke up that morning, that I would capture some of the most captivating and timeless wedding photographs of my career. Hóast tey flestu taka myndir inni í sjálvari viðarlundini, so valdu vit at fara oman í fjørðina heldur. Hetta vóru tey bæði super við uppá, hóast eg vænti, at tann innari Klaksvíkingurin heldur vildi vera í viðarlundini. Men! Hetta vísti seg at vera ein sera góð avgerð, tí júst tá reis sólin, og vit fingu heilt fantastiskar myndir. Tey prátaðu, tvætlaðu og sluppu at vera tey. Tey hvíldu veruliga í sær sjálvum.

Although it’s not normal in the Faroe Islands, I decided to randomly ask Eydna and Mads if they’d like to do a so called “First Look”, since they were gonna walk down the aisle together anyway. Eydna and Mads said yes quickly, and so I got to do that for the first time! And I think it’s safe to say that the photos speak for themselves.

I really can’t put into words how amazing this wedding was from start to finish, since Sigrun and Mikkjal had planned every single little detail to the max. It felt like a dream.

This was hands down the most touching and heartwarming wedding I’ve ever shot. The love that shone from the couple, from the family and from all the guests was simply unexplainable. I feel so privileged I got to share this amazing day with Elin & Dávið, and hopefully these photos will show how truly amazing this day was.
